Music Instructor for Piano & Voice

We are in search of a Music Instructor for Piano & Voice who is passionate about teaching music to children in creative and interactive ways!

Overview

  • Full-time
  • Salaried position
  • Additional $4,800/year towards health insurance or wages
  • Fun, creative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly lesson plans
  • Teach private and group lessons
  • Communicate with parents regularly on student progress
  • Assist Music Director in preparation of events & recitals
  • Work together with music instructors to dream up creative events each semester
  • Work together with instructors from other disciplines (dance, gymnastics, ninja) to offer collaborative opportunities for students

Qualifications

  • Significant experience with teaching youth – we will have classes from ‘Mommy and Me’ through adult
  • Technically proficient in piano and vocal performance
  • Broad knowledge of music theory
  • Ability to make learning fun by catering to each student’s musical tastes, preferences, and learning style
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of theatre & musical productions
  • Appreciation for a wide variety of musical genres and styles
