Dance Instructor at RISE
We are in search of a Ballet and Jazz instructor who is passionate about the artform of dance and passionate about teaching children!
The ideal candidate is excited to teach young children, great at communicating in a way that our students can understand and follow, well-versed in ballet terminology, a great demonstrator of ballet positions and movements, and is light-hearted and fun!
- The role currently is scheduled for 6-8 teaching hours per week.
- The rate starts at $40/hr and is commensurate with experience.

Overview
- 6-8 hours per week
- Mondays 5:30pm-7:30pm: 9-12 y/o Ballet & Contemporary
- Tuesdays 2:30pm-7:30pm: 4-5 y/o Ballet, 8 y/o Ballet & Jazz
- Thursdays 5pm-7pm: privates in Ballet & Jazz
- Pay rate starts at $40/hr; rate negotiable and to be commensurate with experience
Responsibilities
- Lesson plan/choreograph weekly warm-ups, exercises, and routines
- Teach group and private classes
- Communicate with parents regularly on student progress
Qualifications
- Meaningful experience with teaching youth
- Training in ballet, jazz, contemporary
- Broad knowledge of technique and terminology
- Ability to choreograph routines
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude!

- Our team likes to work hard and have fun. We offer regular in-house training and team-building for all of our dance instructors (Goat Yoga!).
- We also offer professional development opportunities for our upper-level dance instructors, including summer ABT training in NYC!
