Our goal at RISE is to help students reach new heights while having a whole lot of fun along the way. We aim to provide an inviting atmosphere for students to engage, create, and collaborate with each other.

Dance Director

Overview

  • Full-time
  • Salaried position
  • Additional $4,800/year towards health insurance or wages
  • Fun, creative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop core program
  • Lesson plan/choreograph weekly warm-ups, exercises, and routines
  • Teach group classes
  • Communicate with parents regularly on student progress
  • Organize schedules, recitals, and productions
  • Work together with dance instructors to dream up creative events each semester
  • Work together with instructors from other disciplines (music, gymnastics, ninja) to offer collaborative opportunities for students

Qualifications

  • Significant experience with teaching youth – we will have classes from two years old through adult
  • Professional ballet training
  • Supplementary training in tap, jazz, contemporary
  • Broad knowledge of technique and terminology
  • Ability to choreograph routines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience with theatre and directing stage productions
