Gymnastics Team Instructor

We are in search of Gymnastics Team Instructors who are passionate about teaching competitive gymnastics to children in thoughtful and interactive ways!

Overview

  • Full-time and Part-time positions available
  • Salary or hourly wages to be commensurate with experience
  • Full-time includes additional $4,800/year towards health insurance or wages
  • Fun, creative work environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and researching ideal training programs, track progress and consistency
  • Teach competitive USAG gymnastics, levels 3+
  • Communicate with parents regularly on student progress
  • Assist in organizing schedules, competitions and competitive attire
  • Hands on teaching, demonstrate, spot and closely monitor all aspects of practice
  • Work to improve every athlete, set individual goals
  • Create a positive gym environment
  • Work together with instructors from other disciplines (music, dance, ninja) to offer collaborative opportunities for students

Qualifications

  • Significant experience with teaching youth
  • Experience coaching competitive gymnastics levels 3+
  • Broad knowledge of technique and terminology
  • Ability to choreograph (dance/floor) or plan (bars/vault) routines that meet USAG requirements
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • USAG member certified (or willingness to take courses needed)
  • Desire to continue learning and work together with other staff
